5 Steps to Start a Business – DREAM
Description: DREAM is a creative 5 step process that simplifies starting a business.
DREAM focuses on developing an entrepreneur’s idea into a successful business by clarifying and focusing on the business idea. Minimize your fears associated with starting a business through the use of DREAM’s simple planning, development and execution tools. The DREAM program will provide sample documents and programs to enable DREAMERS to realize their DREAM.
Seminar Leader: The seminar will be led by Donna DiDomenico and Cheryl Patnick. Donna is President of Development Specialists, a consulting firm that enables businesses to achieve their business goals through employee training and performance development. She has over 25 years experience designing custom training systems and employee development programs for clients and is an experienced presenter and trainer of trainers. Donna serves on the Middlesex County College Business Advisory Board, Executive Board for Dress For Success, Mercer County, and is a Professor at Rider University. Cheryl is President of Capella Consultants LLC, a strategic and operational human resources consulting group dedicated to harnessing the potential and maximizing
the performance of employees. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Financial Training, is a presenter for Right Management's "Creating a Successful Consulting Company" and has received the HR Person of the Year award from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Financing Your Small Business
Description: This seminar will focus on financing and loan applications. It will include details on what any lenders look for in a loan applicant, including credit, collateral, character, and cash flow. It will also discuss do’s and don’ts of the application process, including how much money to request, and the business plan. Finally, it will zero in to the specifics of the Regional Business Assistance Corporation (RBAC) loan program, including SBA micro loans and the SBA 504 loan program.
Seminar Leader: Eduardo Rodriguez, Community Outreach Coordinator at the RBAC. The RBAC’s mission is to provide loan capital and business mentoring to small business owners that cannot access more conventional bank financing. By financing and mentoring small businesses across New Jersey, the RBAC ultimately aims to create jobs and foster community wide economic development.

Angel Investing and Other Funding Sources
Description: This seminar provides insight into the world of angel investing. It will focus on key requirements for consideration, how the process works, pros and cons, and who might qualify for this type of funding. It will also touch upon related types of funding, in particular venture capital and private equity, contrasting the different perspectives of each.
Seminar Leader: The seminar will be led by Dave Plucinsky. Dave has 35 years of domestic and international business experience. Prior to returning to the USA in late 2008, he spent 20 years working and living in London, England, the last 12 years as a self employed consultant. During this period Dave worked primarily with start-up companies and turn-around situations. In certain of these situations, he was an investor and/or represented investment groups, in others Dave acted in a consultancy role. His experience includes working with companies operating in the USA, EU, Far East and Australia.
